How Nature Pick Started

When our family started the Nature’s Pick Organic Farm, we had one goal: provide the best quality produce for our customers while and nurturing the planet that nourishes us. 

Through every step, we follow organic farming techniques to grow food that is natural produce in our environment. We strongly believe that nature has provided us with everything that we need to participate in sustainable farming without using chemical fertilizers, pesticides, and fungicides. Nature can facilitate and thrive on its own course. 

With this belief, at Nature’s Pick Organic, we use desi cow products like milk, urine, dung, and other naturally available herbs and shrubs to make our fertilizers, pesticides, and fungicides. We also use Bio control and other certified organic products – take a look at our cultivation practices!

Before we began our journey into farming, we couldn’t find farms where the land was free of chemical fertilizers. Therefore, we had three main objectives when we were looking for the right location to start this adventure:

  1. Find land that wasn’t sprayed and mixed with chemicals.
  2. Choose an area without water scarcity – rains and abundant water resources!
  3. A spot with various soils in the same farm

We were incredibly lucky to find a farm that met our high standards and we’re so excited to share our journey and the fruit (and veggies!) of our labor with all of you.

What is Natural/Organic Farming?

Natural/Organic Farming refers to a specific method of growing and processing foods. It is defined as produce grown, packaged, and stored without the use of synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides or fungicides.

Why Natural/Organic Farming?

In today’s globalized world, consumer competition and business opportunity are pushing people to pursue their dreams and maximizing the use of their time. With increased responsibilities, and a heavy cost on their personal time, many urban and semi urban populations are depending on readymade, processed, restaurant, street and other sources of food. These unhealthy lifestyle and food habits are resulting in more non-communicable diseases like cardiac arrest, diabetes, cancer, hypertension, etc. at a younger age than ever.

Unfavorable climate, government policies, agri-marketing challenges, shrinking cultivable land resources, and growing demand of food is forcing farmers to depend more on synthetic fertilizers and pesticides. These practices are greatly impacting soil, plant, environment, as well as the consumers’ and farmers’ health.
Our unique techniques to move away from this type of cultivation will be discussed in detail in other pages of our site.
