Due to winds the fungus and bacteria will be carried from other fields and from far away places and attack the seeds and plants, to control these we will use Bijamritha to treat the seeds and samplings.
Desi cow dung is good fungicide and Desi cow Urine is good Bacterial and hence we use both the ingredients in Bijamritham.
When we mix cow dung and cow urine in water the acidity of the mixture increase, to neutralize it we use Lime in preparing BJA.
Also when we buy seeds from the marketplace the seeds will be treated with chemicals and it will decrease the germination.
Bijamritham has Aflatoxin which the neutralizes the chemicals and improves the germination.
Preparation
Take 20 liter Water, 5 Kg Local Cow Dung, 5 liter Local Cow Urine, 50 Gram Lime & Handful soil from the bund of the farm.
Take 5 Kg Local Cow Dung in a cloth and bound it by tape. Hang this in the 20 Liter water up to 12 hours.
Take one liter water and add 50 gm lime in it, let it stable for a night.
Then next morning, squeeze this bundle of the cow dung in that water thrice continuously, so that all essence of cow dung will accumulate in that water.
Then add a handful of soil in that water solution and stir it well.
Then add 5 liter Desi cow urine or human urine in that solution & add the lime water and stir it well.
Usage
1.Monocot ( Rice , Wheat ,Maize , All Millets ,cereals) and Oil seeds (Except soyabean and groundnut).
Take seeds of above crops which are planned for usage on plastic mat and spray Bijamitham – the quantity of Bijamritha should be proportionate to the quantity of the seeds planned.
Rub the seeds with both the hands to ensure that Bijamritha is coated well.
Allow the seeds to dry in the shade which is near to the sun to get dried in one hour.
Then sow the seeds.
2 Pulses :
Take seeds of above crops which are planned for usage on plastic mat and spray Bijamitham – the quantity of Bijamritha should be proportionate to the quantity of the seeds planned.
Mix the seeds with the Fingers of both the hands. We should not rub the seeds like Monocot as pulses will have cover which get lost and seed germination would get reduced.
Allow the seeds to dry in the shade which is near to the sun to get dried in one hour.
Then sow the seeds.
3.Groundnut and soyabean:
Note: As these seeds will have very thin layer coating we should not use Bijamritham to treat the seeds instead we need to use Ghana Jivamritham.
Take the seeds of Groundnut/soyabeans and apply 10 % of Ghana JA to the ratio of seeds and mix them with the fingers and sow the seeds.
4.Vegetables/Fruit Seeds:
Remove the seeds from the packets and clean with water as they might have fungus.
Treat the seeds with Bijaamritham.
Rub the seeds with both the hands to ensure that Bijamritha is coated well.
Allow the seeds to dry in the shade which is near to the sun to get dried in one hour.
Then sow the seeds.
5.Sugar Cane,Rhimozes of Banana ,Turmeric ,Ginger ,potato.
